Motherhood:
Motherhood is the aspect of my life that I enjoy the most. I put everything that I have into supporting and raising awesome children, who love me. I get a kick out of telling new acquaintances that I have 3 children. They can hardly believe me. They are amazing to raise. In this blog I plan to share parenting tips and the adventures that I take with my little ones. I hope you are planning to enjoy the ride! |
Chelly
Chelly is my chocolate ballerina. She loves her life and dance. She will try anything you let her. She keeps me informed.
|
Sky
Sky is my preschooler, who is ready to take on the world. She loves sweets, playing ruff, and playing with figurines.

Jake
Jake is my 1 year old. Who walked early, talks, and follows everything that his sisters do. He gets it!

Cheap and easy fun in West Palm Beach: How to start summer in your hometown
June 12, 2016
June 12, 2016
Summer vacation started the second week of June and I am already trying to show my kids a good time on a Teacher's budget. I am going to share with you what we did already in hopes that you get some ideas or we see you out and about.
Here is what we did already (even though I already started my summer job):
Visited the Book Store:
We were headed to one of our favorite parks and it started to rain, so I had to think of somewhere else to go quickly. I remembered the days that I enjoyed with my oldest at the bookstore. So we drove to Barnes and Nobles. I let them play with some of the toys that they had out, like the Legos and the train table. Most important my oldest choose a book to read and I shopped for a preschool workbook for my preschooler and she picked out a Daniel Tiger book. We only spent $18, and we spent some valuable time together.
Visited the park:
The parks are always great free fun. My daughter's favorite is Howard Park in WPB, but I like the park in Palm Beach Gardens. Parks are cheap! We spent $0.
Visited an Indoor Playground:
Cool beans in Palm Beach Gardens was a blast for my kiddos. They were able to jump up and down on the trampoline, slide, dress up, and run and play. There was even an area for my toddler to explore age appropriate toys. We spent about $30 with my peppermint tea (that was a little pricey).
Visited a Local Waterpark:
Waterparks are tricky but important in Florida. It is hot, so everyone wants to get wet. The tricky part is that it rains every afternoon. You can tell when it is going to rain because it gets really hot. What is even tougher is telling the kids you are going to a waterpark and the rain is about to come and know they are going to annoy you if you don't go. So we went to Calyso Bay and the kids were in the water for about 45 minutes before the thunder and lightening. So I guess the visit was worth my $16.
So in just about a week's time I spent $64 on summer activities. The time and the coins were well worth it. So if you are looking for quick things to do in you city try the local waterpark, bookstore, indoor playground, and the park before sitting in the house all day.

3 Simple Reasons Why Babies Need Bikes
It is amazing to have children. There is so much to do and so little time. Those to-dos include exercising and keeping the babies busy. So think about this post the next time you are in the toy store, Mom and Dad, and you are considering buying a bike and it is not a special occasion.
1. The kiddos need a bike so Mommy can exercise. I have to do some walking and jogging to get off this baby weight, but there isn't a special fairy who shows at my house with a magic wand when I get home. So, I have to make it happen and take the babies. At least with bikes, the days that I don't go exercising at You-fit at 5:00 a.m. I can go out in my community and the kids can ride their bikes.
2. The kiddos need to exercise. Riding enables the children to get some fresh air and gives them an opportunity to speed up their heart rate while exercising.
3. Riding a bike is fun, duha! Everyone I know enjoyed riding their bikes. Even though scooters, hoover boards, and other riding toys have come out over the years, bikes are still the most popular.
Check back this weekend. We will go bike shopping on Saturday. It should be fun and I will post lots of pictures.
